Mental Health

                                                              These days ‘Mental Health’ has become a very serious issue among people irrespective of age. Which includes depression, anxiety, mood swings etc, which leads to the loss of ourselves.

                                                               Many situations in our lives might happen that cause depression. It might occur from family, friends, relatives and dear persons. Not only from them but harassments, childhood traumas take huge part in this role. Being alone and not having proper support during these situations makes us to fall deep into the pit. Do you really think you always need someone to be there for you whenever you feel depressed?

 

                                          ‘YOU ARE ENOUGH FOR YOURSELF’

 

                                                                 Yes, that’s true. You yourself are enough and you yourself are perfect medicine for it. Whatever the situation might be, take proper time to think about it, in a peaceful condition. Do you deserve staying in a dark room, loosing appetite, listening to the sad songs, yelling and crying at yourself? Have peace within yourself first. Do not blame or hate yourself.  Understand the situation, think what bought you to that situation, accept the reality and finally be glad for what lesson the situation has taught and most importantly remember it. Do not repeat the same mistake. Because situations happen until you learn the mistake.

                                                                  Depression makes you stronger emotionally, but weaker physically. It changes you to the person you are unaware of. It eats you from within. It makes you to hurt your near and dear ones with your behaviour. It makes you to take wrong decisions to which you might regret in the future. It makes you to lose self-control over emotions. No matter what you do, you won’t get out of it but increase your own stress level. You need to take your time to get out of it completely. Do not choose temporary solutions (alcohol etc), but choose permanent solutions which makes you to get out of your pain. Here are few steps which might help you;

 

  • Pen down your feelings.
  • Take a long break from social media and gadgets.
  • Grow spiritually.
  • Outing with the family/Solo trip to a peaceful place.
  • Spend time with kids/grandparents/elders/pets. (Gives hope)
  • Yoga
  • Try not to cry for the same reason twice. Cry enough for the first time itself.
  • Focus on your skills/talents. (Broken heart definitely brings an art out of you)
  • No expectations.
  • Give time to yourself atleast 15min each day.
  • There’s happiness in making others happy. Go for it

                                       These are the few things that helped me to get out of my depression and might help you as well. Remember, you are important. You are here on this earth for a purpose and wait for it and fulfil it. Somebody somewhere might need you as well. Be glad for all the situations that has happened in your life which made you stronger and made you ‘YOU’. Take time to heal and roar back stronger.

                                    

                                        In the end all we need is love. Love is what heals you. So love yourself first and let others love you later. Good things take time, so wait until you get the love what you deserve.
